Brisighella

This is the romantic little town where Giuseppe proposed to Caroline. It's a short 15 minute train ride up into the foothills of the mountain range that runs down the center of Italy. The first photo is taken about two blocks from the train station looking up at the hilltop. High on the left, you see a castle. On the edge at the right, even farther away, you see the Clock Tower. Having no grand plan, we just started walking. We followed the road up the hill to the castle, walked a path along the ridge line over to the Clock Tower, and came back down on a long series of steps into the town below. A great way to spend the day.
